On July 12, a workshop was held with 30 teachers from elementary schools in the municipality, thanks to the support of Dr. Tunks and students from the University of North Texas and South Methodist University.
The workshop consisted of science and mathematics, 5 stations with different science projects: lunar phases, the effect of environmental pollution, the effect of oil spills on the oceans, the water cycle, the solar system. St rategies for better classroom learning, problem-solving stations and paper folds were written in mathematics to record concepts and ideas from topics seen in class as a summary form.
It was a dynamic workshop, where people shared experiences from the universities and teachers of the municipality. We hope that the fruits of this workshop will be in children’s learning.
